Goaltender
Fernview Rangers |
Career

1985 - 1989 Cheers/CML Raiders
1990 - 1996 Femview Rangers
The former Philadelphia Flyer goaltender and Hall of Famer Bernie
Parent was the first back-to-back winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy
for MVP in the N.H.L. playoffs. His indelible stand up style and poised
positioning between the pipes prompted the "Sign Man" at the Spectrum
in the city of brotherly love to display that, "Only God saves more
than Parent".
Bruno Pullara , whose upright style and rapier-like
reflexes was a prototype of the great netrninder, is recognized by
the most notable visionaries of the game as the most quintessential,
highly skilled and successful "orange ball" stopper that the sport
has ever seen. In just over a decade of participation, "B.P.", who
starred with the Femview Rangers from 1990 - 1996, became the most
decorated goaltender in the history of the Ontario Ball Hockey Association.
Bruno
Pullara won a combined (5) T.B.H.A. and N.W.T.B.H.L. titles
while being named the Outstanding Goaltender for a record (5) consecutive
seasons in league play respectively. Early in his career, he was
the most sought after "last line of defence" as he backstopped both
the Precast Eagles (89) and the Frasca Topguns (91) to Canadian
Championships before spearheading his own contingent of the Rangers
to two Ontario Cups and record three consecutive National Championship
Gold Medals from 1992 to 1994.
Bruno Pullara , who was a three-time OBHA AAA Allstar
and a two-time Provincial Championship NWP, was the consumate professional
both on and off the floor. The three-time C.B.H.A. Allstar Goaltender
was a dedicated and hardworking team player. He was a "big game"
goalie and a proven winner who was indeed one of the premier practitioner's
in the history of ball hockey in Ontario who has earned his rightful
place in the OBHA Players Hall of Fame . |
