Nonetheless, despite their records in the preliminary round games, a battle between the top two seeds seemed inevitable as both were lead by strong goaltending which would set the tone for the final.
The teams would share numerous opportunities in the final and TNT would lead after the first period. The Toronto team evened the score mid way through the second and then the goalies took over as this game would eventually be settled in double overtime on a goal mouth scramble.
These teams have set the tone for the upcoming summer season and hopefully set their sights on the Womens Provincial Championship versus the other 24 womens leagues within the OBHA in Belleville/Trenton the weekend of August 9-11.
