Chris Housser, a veteran of 50+ years of age, was pressed into action with a shortage of players available for the games at WC'07. What makes this unique, besides his age, is that he is playing with his son Bobby.

Father Chris is tied for the scoring lead after two games with 5 assists, while Bobby has 1 goal and 2 assists. Chris was a star player through the 80's and early 90's, and obviously still has some skills.

He now spends most of his time organizing leagues for youth and adults at his facility in Leominster MA, in the USA (near Boston). Bobby meanwhile is just getting started at the adult level after many years of playing at the youth level. Success follows in the blood lines with Bobby winning a gold medal at the 2006 World Junior Championship in Aosta Italy, as well as Tournament MVP honours.

The story does not end here though, as daughter Callie played for Team USA at the Womens World Championship early this week, where she scored 1 goal and had 4 assists, and received a few votes for the allstar team.

The Houssers are truly a street hockey family, and there are a few more children to follow.
