Alliston - In a exhausting back and forth game which was ultimately decided in overtime, the tired eyes of the Hawks finally gazed upon the Championship Cup in what some might consider the most heart wrenching end to a game in OBHA history….a penalty shot in overtime.

Over the years, its teams account for ten National Championships, and the highest percentage of players placed on Team Canada for World Championship play since 1996.

2009 Women’s Pre Season Tournament

The Women’s Pre Season Tournament was another great weekend for the sport as eighteen teams competed for the championship at the ‘A’ and ‘B’ level of competition in Mississauga and perhaps a sneak preview for the Provincial Championships later this summer. There was very little separating all the teams as this was the most balanced tournament in years and it was any team’s tournament to win.

2009 Street Buds Tournament

“Build it and they will come!” The City of Toronto did just that for the 2009 Street Buds Tournament this past weekend April 3-5 as they constructed four temporary rinks in the Canadian National Exhibition park grounds at the Better Living Centre. The three-day event played host to thirty two teams at five age groups culminating with the championship games.

Downsview 3 on 3 Ball Hockey Tournament

Here we grow again……the Downsview Park 3 on 3 Ball Hockey Tournament hosted one hundred and twelve teams on Saturday, February 21, 2009 as they constructed sixteen temporary rinks on the park grounds to facilitate the largest event to date in support of Shoot For A Cure.
