The London Norstar and Oshawa Stampede would play two very different games as they would share countless opportunities in the first period led by Andrea Walters of the Norstar who had one goal and one assist in the first period and Oshawa captain, Tracey Kitchen would add two goals as the first period would end in a 3 to 3 tie.

Garage Guys Bring Their Hard Hats

The Garage Guys are the 2012 ‘C’ Provincial Qualifier Champions.  The ‘old guys’ showed they still have some savy and grit left in them and finally found their match in the form of the ‘C’ Qualifier Gold.

There was very little seperating the teams after round robin play at the Summer Classic hosted in Midland, Ontario.

2012 Women's B & C Pre Season Tournament

If this was the preview for the Provincial Championships later this year, we will indeed be in for a treat as the level of competition was simply wonderful. At this year’s tourney, there was very little separating all the teams as this was the most balanced tournament in years and it was any team’s tournament to win.

The Ontario Summer Games began in 1970 as a showcase for amateur sport. They have now become Ontario's largest multi-sport event, including both team and individual sports. Provincial level athletes qualify through a selection process conducted by provincial sport organizations.
