The OBHA went three for three as it swept the gold podium on Sunday in Halifax. The OBHA has captured the inaugural championship in all three junior divisions, U19 in 1999 (Vaughan Capitals), U17 in 2006 (Belleville Bulls) and most recently the U15 (Penetang Blazers).
It is definitely Orange season and you can add the Men’s B Regional Championship to the titles the ‘Orangemen’ have captured in 2008. The boys came from behind winning in an exciting overtime game 3-2 over the Raging Wolves from Quebec.
Look out Tier II, there is a new team around the corner to contend with. Despite the overwhelming presence of Toronto are clubs in the Tier II Qualifier this past weekend the Avalanche from St. Catherines showed the championships being held in Waterloo in August may have to go through them.

Men’s ‘B’ participation in the OBHA has become one of the most popular and enjoyably competitive venues in recent years due in large part to the number, diversity and range in the ages of the players at that level in recent years. This years event was no exception as 10 teams throughout the province went to Waterloo to compete in the 2008 Men’s ‘B’ Provincial Qualifier.
