The Red Wings posted a record of 5-0-0 and a tournament leading 24 goals scored enroute to the 2010 Men’s B Provincial Qualifier Championship in Midland, Ontario.
In women’s tournament action, the Penetang U-18 Blazers are back on top as they captured the Summer Classic Championship for a second year in a row, but the road was much more difficult this year.
The event was hosted in the City of Mississauga, May 13 and 14, and was indeed a showcase for all the competing players and teams and the host the Ontario Ball Hockey Association. Thirty-four boys and ten girls teams from across the province competed hard as the OBHA Crowned Highschool Champions at their respective division.
“Build it and they will come!” The City of Toronto did just that for the 2010 Street Buds Tournament this past weekend April 10-11 as they constructed four temporary rinks in the Canadian National Exhibition park grounds at the Better Living Centre.
The Women’s Pre Season Tournament was another great weekend for the sport as eighteen teams competed for the championship at the ‘A’ and ‘B’ level of competition in Mississauga and perhaps a sneak preview for the Provincial Championships later this summer.

Mr. Claudio Ciarallo was the sport of ball hockey in Brampton for many years in the men’s division and built the Brampton Minor Ball Hockey League to be one of the biggest and heralded programs in the province.

They came and played, and PLAYED ON……the Downsview Park 3 on 3 Ball Hockey Tournament hosted one hundred and fourteen teams on Saturday, January 30, 2010 as they constructed sixteen temporary rinks on the park grounds to facilitate the largest event to date in support of Shoot For A Cure.
