Wilson Gets Invite to U-20 National Camp

A member of the Junior U-20 Team Canada has been invited to the Hockey Canada U-20 main camp.

Owen Sound Attack Captain Garrett Wilson has been selected to participate in Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp that is slated for December 12th-15th in Toronto, ON before Exhibition Stops in Oshawa, Toronto, Kitchener and St. Catharine’s.

Wilson, a 4th round selection of the Florida Panthers is 2nd in the OHL in goals (22), 2nd in Points (41), 1st in power play goals (11) and 2nd in plus/minus with a +25 rating.

Team General Manager, Dale DeGray stated, “We are very thrilled for both the players.” Wilson will be joined at the camp by teammate Joey Hishon. DeGray continued, “I believe this is a testament to the work ethic and the character of both players and as an organization, we could not be happier for them.

The invites to Wilson and Hishon mark the first time ever that any member(s) of the Owen Sound Attack have been invited to a Canadian National Junior Team Selection Camp.

Both Hishon and Wilson are expected to be in the Attack’s lineup on Friday, December 10th before heading off to the National Junior Team Selection Camp.
