The perennial bridesmaid finally found their match in the form of the Provincial Qualifier Gold. The Stars traveled to Mississauga and posted a 4-0-1 record to capture the title. However, don’t let the statistics deceive you into thinking that it was easy, because the tournament was anything but a walk in the park as the majority of the games were tightly contested right up to and including the championship final.

The team defied their detractors and continued to find ways to win as they went on to defeat the Saints in a spirited semi final. The veteran team then outlasted the TBB 3-1 enroute to the capture the title.
