The Norstar Prevail Over the Stampede in Overtime

The London Norstar and Oshawa Stampede would play two very different games as they would share countless opportunities in the first period led by Andrea Walters of the Norstar who had one goal and one assist in the first period and Oshawa captain, Tracey Kitchen would add two goals as the first period would end in a 3 to 3 tie.

For all the offence of the first there would be no goals scored in the second period as the teams would exchange opportunities which were thwarted by Nicole Tuohy of the Stampede and Holly Scott of the Norstar who was named to the Tournament all star team and MVP Goalie for the event.

The teams would play hard and end to end into the overtime period where Norstar captain Andrea Walters would score her second of the game to bring the London team their championship.

The Stampede will return in a few weeks to participate in the Women’s Provincial Championships.
