CBHA name twenty three Ontario players to Junior U16 & U18 Team Canada Featured

The Canadian Ball Hockey Association recently announced its roster for the inaugural U16 & U18 World Championships to be held in Zvolen, Slovakia in June 2008. Twenty-two players have been selected for each team and into these players' hands will fall the responsibility of capturing the World Championship.

 

In putting these versions of Junior Team Canada together the CBHA expanded its scouting to include the Western Challenge Cup and the Ontario Provincials. Listed below are the players from Ontario on each team:

Team Canada U16 Roster – Ryan Johnson (Barrie), Chris Brown, Matthew Carlucci (Beeton), Jack Davison, Jason Shaw, Billy Ulrich (Belleville), Kristoff Kontos, Jacob Robitaille (Penetang), Michael Fama, Matthew Vommaro (Vaughan).

Team Canada U18 Roster – Zenon Byblow, Randy Cox, Cody Rhodes (Beeton), Evan Culbert, Patrick Geen, Andrew Shaw, Dustin Walsh (Belleville), Michael Belanger, Ryan Gieseler, Tyler McClure, Nicolas Plourde, Ryan Scherer, Brian Valentine (Penetang)

Joining the boys from Ontario named to the staff are, Steve Dockerty, General Manager (Beeton), Steve Rumsey, Assistant General Manager (Barrie), Doug Shaw, Head Coach U18 (Belleville), Carlo Carlucci, Assistant Coach U16 (Beeton) and Jamie Robillard, Parent Liason (Penetang)
