2009 National Qualifier Tournament

Alliston - In a exhausting back and forth game which was ultimately decided in overtime, the tired eyes of the Hawks finally gazed upon the Championship Cup in what some might consider the most heart wrenching end to a game in OBHA history….a penalty shot in overtime.

In existence since 1985 in various formats, the league attracts the top players in Southern Ontario to its elite level of competition. Over the years, its teams account for ten National Championships, and the highest percentage of players placed on Team Canada for World Championship play since 1996.

2009 Women’s Pre Season Tournament

The Women’s Pre Season Tournament was another great weekend for the sport as eighteen teams competed for the championship at the ‘A’ and ‘B’ level of competition in Mississauga and perhaps a sneak preview for the Provincial Championships later this summer. There was very little separating all the teams as this was the most balanced tournament in years and it was any team’s tournament to win.
