A Peak Performance In The Mountains

British Columbia, a city nestled in a valley with mountains on either side as far as the naked eye could see, was host to the Women’s National Ball Hockey Championship.

This is a game for the ages, for all ages as a matter of fact that has become a legacy onto it’s own. It is a game that has become an institution, a way of life for thousands of players, coaches, officials, administrators and fans of an activity that is played with a ball and a stick on neighbourhood streets, schoolyard parking lots, gymnasiums and rinks from coast-to- coast throughout the country.

OBHA Teams Golden in Halifax

The OBHA went three for three as it swept the gold podium on Sunday in Halifax. The OBHA has captured the inaugural championship in all three junior divisions, U19 in 1999 (Vaughan Capitals), U17 in 2006 (Belleville Bulls) and most recently the U15 (Penetang Blazers).

It is definitely Orange season and you can add the Men’s B Regional Championship to the titles the ‘Orangemen’ have captured in 2008. The boys came from behind winning in an exciting overtime game 3-2 over the Raging Wolves from Quebec.
