The event was hosted in the City of Mississauga, May 12 and 13, and was indeed a showcase for all the competing players and teams and the host the Ontario Ball Hockey Association. Thirty-two boys and ten girls teams from across the province competed hard as the OBHA Crowned Highschool Champions at their respective division.

Women's Pre Season Tournament

There was plenty of BLING and the ROYALS were out, but this wasn’t the wedding. This was of course the Women’s Pre Season Tournament and just another great weekend for the sport as fourteen teams competed for the championship at the ‘A’ and ‘B’ level of competition in Mississauga.

The tournament will be held at South Fletchers Sportsplex, 500 Ray Lawson Blvd. It will take place over the weekend of Friday June 17, 2011, Saturday June18, 2011, and Sunday June 19, 2011.

The newest addition to the Ontario Ball Hockey Association commenced operations on Sunday, May 1, 2011. It was a great day at the venerable Georgetown Memorial Arena as the Halton Hills Minor Ball Hockey celebrated the first Opening Day in league history.

All of the clubs fought hard through four days of round robin action as the field would be narrowed down to eight teams by late Saturday afternoon and the quarter-final match ups were set.

“Build it and they will come!” The City of Toronto did just that for the 2011 Street Buds Tournament this past weekend April 9-10 as they constructed three temporary rinks in the Canadian National Exhibition park grounds at the Better Living Centre. The event played host to twenty six teams at five age groups culminating with the championship games.

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League in association with Williamson-Dickie Canada Co., makers of quality workwear were pleased to congratulate Andrew Shaw of the Owen Sound Attack as the OHL Dickies Hardest Working Player of the Year.
