All summer we had exciting games throughout our province, from the Qualifiers {National, Men’s B, C, D & Masters} in June through to the Minor Provincials {Minor and Bantam & Junior} in July.  The Men’s B, C, Masters and Women’s A & B} provincials throughout the month of August culminated with the Men’s D Provincials.   The game and our events keep growing thanks to our membership.  When your having this good of a time at a ball hockey event, we say keep the ball rolling!

For complete Provincial Championship results, please visit the OBHA web site at www.ontarioballhockey.ca, News link.  We will be honoring all of our champions and award winners at the OBHA’s, Celebration of Excellence Awards Dinner and Banquet, November 7 at the Crowne Plaza  by the Airport.  For ticket information, you may contact the office at 905 738 3320.

On the National stage, Ontario teams represented the province well beginning with the Junior Nationals bringing home seven medals, U-19 Belleville Bulls {Gold}, Penetang Blazers {Silver} and the Beeton Extreme {Bronze}.  In the U-17 Nationals we had another sweep, Belleville Bulls {Gold}, Penetang Blazers {Silver} and the Barrie Wild {Bronze} and in the U-15 division the Penetang Blazers won bronze.

At the Senior Nationals, we completed a sweep with the Ottawa Rebels winning gold in the women’s with a 2-1 victory over the Manitoba Rage.  In the men’s division, Brampton Midnight Express brought the championship back after a nine year wait and the Mississauga United Hawks were crowned bronze medalists with a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Black Knights.

Come back and visit our web site on a regular basis during the coming months as we will announce the Junior Team Canada roster and feature some of the Ontario athletes, as well as the announcement of all the 2006 Calendar of Events.  We will be adding more features and hope to create the most in depth information source for Canada's national past-time, ball hockey.

Enjoy, this is Your Source for Ball Hockey Information.
